The economy of holiness

Holiness and fetishism

If holiness was always here, if it is our home, our best choice, why do we not achieve it? L'homme who is constantly angry toward others and toward the world, the woman who is constantly envious to others and finds she has a terrible life, even if she lives in a privileged position? Why are they like they are? Why aren't they not at least as an average person? They would then have a much better life. Why a man collects used panties of women and sniffs they give off? Is this really the best joice he can do? The one who does not choose holiness, choses economically wrong, because he has made a bad choice. The one who binds to its detriment on acts of second or third quality, we call him a fetishist. As such, he aspires with all his energy on something that is incomprehensible to others. He scrabble about the best thing, in fact the holiness. But because his view is not wide enough, he clings to things that are less important, perhaps it will be the smell of women's underwear.

The insight of the fetishist

The fetichist has directed his efforts and his love on an object or on a person. He has said: This is my happiness. I must have it. But if he has the opportunity to live his passion to the end, there will be saturation. If he has every day, even every hour the possibility to sniff on used underwear, then his interest will decrease. His mind will calm down and he has the opportunity to start something new. Does he now try to reach his final destination, the holiness? Rather not. Probably he will lack the confidence needed. Probably he will find an other fetich and then an other and again an other. His lifetime will be probably to short to live up all sorts of fetiches until they have lost their attractiveness. Probably this is the reason why the idea that humans do need several lifetimes to get to their final destination is very common. It is useful for the comprehensibility of this matter, when we see the limits of the word fetish in a extended way. Sex, drugs, money, power and other things are part of our lives. It is our choice to handle these things in a proper way or to cling to by turning them into a fetish.
