The antipole to holiness

Holiness or monstrosity?

As a person manages his life depends largely on its interior. In fact there are two main directions in which human can evolve. There are people who go mainly in the direction to the good sense of salvation, to holiness, which includes the salvation of others, and also the salvation of everything in the world. This gives them a good feeling. Their behavior also helps to make life for others more bearable.

The one who is not interested in salvation, must learn to deal with a feeling of emptiness, which is to contain or to satisfy. Chocolate, sex, money, luxury cars and mascara can help. They bring pleasure, beauty and also the power, based on the “I have more” and “I am more”. I wish to be the greatest and to have every thing is the dream. This is not feasible, but it is dangerous. Cultivating the illusion of superiority or arbitrary damage others rises adrenaline and causes euphoria. At one end of the scale is holiness, an the other is monstrosity. The two options are available to us. This is our freedom.

A human has the freedom to seek holiness or to seek superiority and ultimately to do what some call “playing God”. How he chooses is very important for our culture.

We can always choose again. Either we seek holiness, or we seek power and ultimately omnipotence. Anyone who does not decide, is in the intermediate range. In the intermediate range lives also the reasonable and well balanced. He often plays a positive role. But if he is aimless and without direction, he is easily corruptible.

The basis of humanism

Humanism easily suffers setbacks. Humanism is a wonderful artificial product. But it lacks a foundation, a basis. It becomes stable only when it is combined with an orientation toward the holiness.
